There is a great team of ladies working together with the leaders of PNCC to get PNCC’s women’s retreat off the ground and truly making it out to be an awesome event! If you are asked to help with this endevour, my sincere prayer would be that you would really consider helping because this is going to be an event to knock your socks off and then some!! Go ahead and request off from work and find a sitter for your kids for October 22 – 24th! This is going to be an event you won’t want to miss!
Classes starting June 14, 2009
This summer, PNCC is offering a few classes that moms and dads might be interested it. Mike and Christi Doty are teaching Growing Kids God’s Way the Toddler series. This is a phenomenal study for helping to bridge the gap of parental knowledge from infant to the “terrible twos”, which for us started at age one. Also this summer look for the study based on the book The Five Love Languages. Matt and I use these principles in our marriage to show each other love based on each others’ love language. This study will help parents to do that for their children. Check them out!
making plans June 12, 2009
Today I worked with Pastor Cal and Sunny on some of the future plans for women’s ministry at PNCC. First let me begin with what a wonderful experience it is to be covered by the pastor’s with prayer and support. It is also awesome to have feedback and brainstorm with these folks. We worked with different ideas and really brought the focus back to the true vision behind PNCC’s women’s ministry. There will be all kinds of exciting things to come in the future all working to bring us closer to Jesus Christ and I personally can’t wait! Stay tuned to hear about new things to come.
By the way Ladies, what better way to plug in this summer if your small group is taking a break, come and join us at Ladies First. It is led by Ricsha, our worship pastor, and truly is a phenomenal experience. It is on Thursday mornings at 6:30 at the church office. The word, fellowship, and coffee are GREAT!
After a weekend away, June 7, 2009
After a weekend away from our daily life, Matt and I were able to plug back into each other. This has me even more excited about what Tapestry’s retreat is going to do for us. I can’t wait to show each and everyone of you what God is doing and planning. It is such an exciting time!
God is working amazing things June 3, 2009
God is truly doing amazing things to help get this retreat off the ground and I couldn’t be happier. I love what is happening in hearts all around Moncks Corner and I can’t wait to see what each day brings with the renewal of hearts and lives. I can’t wait until Monday. It is my official first day off for summer. I am so excited about getting to spend large amounts of time delving into the word and listening to God lead me for my personal walk, but also for the direction of October’s retreat! PLEASE plan on attending and tell someone about it!
brainfood June 2, 2009
I spoke with Jeff from our retreat site and everything is really starting to frame up. I am so very excited! I feel God moving and stirring in ways that are undefinable. God is so awesome. MARK you calendars. DO NOT MISS this retreat. October 22 – 24th. BE THERE and BE CHANGED!
Making contact May 20, 2009
What would be the best way to consistently make contact with others to promote or advertise for Tapestry events and other local events in the community? I really want to improve the words that gets out to everyone about local volunteer opportunities and ministry opportunities while also getting people plugged into Tapestry. Any ideas?
October Retreat May 17, 2009
I just wanted to share that with the days and weeks flying by, our team is working to keep the retreat between $100 and $150. This will include lodging, meals and activities. Please make plans by starting to adjust your budgets now so that when registration opens up, you will be able to sign up and take part in what I know will be a life altering experience for all involved. Let’s make the changes now so when October arrives, all we will need to worry about it what to pack!
Comments May 17, 2009
Thanks to each and every gracious comment and suggestion for this past Tapestry. I again am looking forward to what God is doing in this ministry and in each of our lives because of it. It was to funny to hear you say that it was if you had already been to church this weekend! I love it! More importantly I love each and every one of you. Many of you came forward yesterday morning to confess things or to seek help. Please don’t walk away now. Please continue to keep in touch with us and allow us to lead you in the right direction to those who can not only pray for and with you, but who can also help you plug in to some great small groups of people who can help you to grow even closer to Jesus. Thanks again for being a part of this ministry. I can’t say that enough!
